Our Church
Founded in 1832, the church has grown steadily ever since. Facilities include a full office suite, nursery wing, large sanctuary, basketball gym, and softball field. Halesford is located near beautiful Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. The lake area is growing rapidly, with construction of the Westlake village about a mile away. The community has multiple fast food restaurants, boutiques and gift shops, and a movie theater, not to mention the wide variety of activities available on the lake. We welcome vacationers and everyone new to the area!
Our Pastors
Pastor Melvin has been our chief minister since 1970. He has a genuine heart for God's people and takes on all forms of servanthood. After serving as both associate and youth minister for nine years, Pastor Tony has become associate minister, and will focus more on the needs of our growing church body. In Spring 2009, we welcomed Pastor Mike, youth and children's minister for our church. He has hit the ground running with our kids and students!
Our Purpose
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
