Student Ministry

Student Ministry

We want to see generations of teens rise to the call that God has placed on their lives and see the amazing journey He has for them!  We invite to come and be apart of our Student Ministry. The Youth Ministry of Halesford meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM.  Youth Sunday School classes meet on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM. We have the privilege of reaching students in grades 6-12. Our goal is to partner with parents, help students grow in the gospel, and equip them to fulfill the Great Commission by reaching, teaching and sending them to make disciples of all nations. Our purpose is to see students come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9). Then students learn how to love God with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30) as they follow Jesus in their daily walk. What is G3? Gather – Developing students spiritual walk with God. Grow – Teaching students core biblical truths. Go – Sending students into their community to be a witness for Christ Our teens are a part of a ministry that is Christ centered, relevant to their generation, and exciting to be a part of; that’s what we are all about! Our student calendar is full of events, concerts, mission opportunities, and other great ways to get connected and build lasting relationships. We look forward to meeting you here! You can also find us on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/G3-Student-Ministry-458804054243007/   “With” is a small group lead by Pastor Taylor and his wife Hailey once a month on Sunday at 5:00pm in the Youth Center. This is designed for teenagers who want to take their relationship with Christ to a deeper level.  This is a great opportunity for Halesford students to gather together in a small group setting to hear from God and do life together.  We grow with each other, are accountable to each other, and walk with Christ together.  We have been made new in Christ, so therefore we need to walk with that newness of life every day. Romans 6:4  Therefore, we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Scaremare presents fun-house rooms and scenes of death in order to confront people with the question “What happens after I die?” Groups of people experience a 40-minute journey, passing through creepy trails, dark woods and eventually entering the House. At the end of the experience, visitors are presented with an answer to this question and given the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Approximately 26,000 people have made decisions for Christ over the past two decades. Ironically, this House of Death points to the Way of Life! Students will be leaving the church at 6:30 Saturday evening October 19.  Please sign up in the youth room.  For more details please contact Pastor Taylor  540 – 598-0553.  Students will need to bring $10 to get in, and money for a fast food dinner.   Justified!!! The Bible teaches that Christians have been declared righteous before God. We have been justified in His presence because the perfect righteousness of Jesus has been accredited to our account. But what does this mean for us on a daily basis? Does this mean...

The Children are also able to earn awards for their accomplishments. In Addition, children may participate in Halesford’s annual AWANA Grand Prix. AWANA clubs are broken down as follows: – Puggles 2 year olds – Cubbies 3 to 4 year olds – Sparks – Kindergarten through 2nd grade – Truth and Training – 3rd through 5th grade   For Awana Online Click Here: https://www.awanaplus.com   Attention Parents To all families who are actively participating in our children ministry here at Halesford Baptist Church, we would like to let you know that you are important to us, and that we are doing our part in keeping everyone safe and comfortable while you are with us.  We would like to share a few precautions that we are taking as we begin to open up our church. All rooms, toys, books, and play equipment have been thoroughly sanitized prior to your arrival. We have a great team of people who work very hard to ensure our safety! Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer will be available in each classroom. Teachers will be arranging classrooms as needed for social distancing. We will be checking temperatures as kids check in at Sunday and Wednesday worship times. Children will wash their hands with soap and water upon arrival and use hand sanitizer before and after Awana games. We are asking parents with children who have displayed any symptoms such as vomiting, sore throat, or fever within 24 hours to please stay home. All Awana leaders will be wearing face coverings, or face shields while working with the children. We thank you in advance for your vigilance and cooperation in keeping our church a fun, and safe environment for our kids to worship the Lord. Please know that even though we are trying our best to eliminate any risk of COVID-19 and other germs from entering our facility, it is impossible to eliminate all risk of...
