America and Beyond
North American Missions
Each year at Easter, Halesford's congregation participates in the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions. There is a need for outreach all over the nation, where natural disasters, crime, and crumbling families are now part of every day. Through our offerings, we are able to help equip those called directly to American mission work. Find more information here.
In August of 2005, just after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, HBC was informed of a small forgotten town called Pearlington, Mississippi. Our congregation banded together and made a long-term commitment to helping that community to get back on its feet. Since that time, construction and relief teams from Halesford have made over twenty trips to Pearlington. We pray continually for our sister churches, First Southern Baptist of Pearlington and First Missionary Baptist of Pearlington.
Each year at Christmas, Halesford's congregation participates in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. These dollars go directly to support the thousands of men, women, and children who have dedicated their lives to spreading the Gospel worldwide. Find more information here.
In 2007, a family associated with Halesford left us for the mission field. Doug, Ann, and their family are currently serving the Lord in India. We are in constant prayer for their safety and their mission, and we praise the Lord for folks like these who absolutely fell in love with Him, His plan, and His people.
